I’ve had a thing for copper lately, whether it is decor at home or accessories to wear (like these DIY bracelets). I noticed looking around the house the other day that I actually do have quite a few accidental copper accents throughout the space. I can’t say I’m mad about it, they are pretty great.
I’ve put together 5 different ways to style copper accents at home with a few of my own examples. Take a look to see how you can make it work in your own space.
1. Wall Hangings
You could say I have an obsession with any form of wall hanging. There are just so many good ones out there. I’ve made several DIY ones that are throughout the house, yet this oversized rope and copper one is my absolute favorite. It is such an easy way to add some texture (and copper) to a room.
2. Bar Accessories
One of the easiest ways to add copper accents is with bar accessories. There are tons of options for copper bottle openers, jiggers, tools, shakers, etc. I’ve collected several different items over the years and they all look like a perfect set. Now that we’re getting close to the holiday season, you should definitely add some accents to that bar cart of yours.
I’ve been spotting lots of copper candles everywhere (mine are from Anthropologie and Target). Candles are great, not only for their wonderful scents, but for the gorgeous styling you can create with them. I have one on my coffee table and bedside table as we speak. Also, if you are hesitant about joining the copper trend, candles are such an easy way to ease into it!
4. Side Tables
I scored this side table at Target a few months ago. I wasn’t necessarily in the market for a side table, but I was in need of a plant stand for my massive aloe plant. This one fit perfectly and works well by a chair. I love this piece because it makes such a statement in out living room, yet it is also a neutral so it can match just about anything!
5. Plant Hangers
Along with my DIY wall hanging above, I’ve also made several plant hangers throughout the house. Adding copper detailing to what would be an ordinary rope hanger, now makes it more unique and eye-catching. I love that it is a small, minimal way to add copper to a space, but can still make a little statement.
