Our current apartment has the standard tan walls, tan carpet and oak cabinets. When we first moved in, I wasn’t bothered by it. (Although I knew it would look a thousand times better with white walls.) But after a year here, I’m pretty sick of the tan e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. I’ve been trying to convince my husband that an area rug would help break up our open floor plan, not to mention it would disguise the ugly carpet underneath. Guys – I think I’ve finally convinced him. Our new rental house (as of this Saturday) has the same tan carpeting and walls and one of the first purchases I’ll be making are area rugs. I’m obsessed with the idea of a red persian rug and these are a few spaces I’m currently loving.
