Our Nursery Reveal: Before & After

We bought a house in April, moved in right away, and immediately started designing the nursery. We knew that it was the most important room in the house to have completed prior to baby’s arrival. It took several weekends to complete, and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Here are the before photos and scroll down to see the after!

You’ll notice that the previous owners had painted the room a dark tan (the entire house is this awful color) and it really makes the room seem so much smaller and darker than it actually is. The dated ceiling fan was way oversized and hung too low for the room – the blinding lights were directly in front of your face! Oh and the popcorn ceiling, isn’t it lovely? NOT. It obviously had to go. So with a little scraping, lots of priming and painting to cover up those dark walls, and a new fan, the room is hardly recognizable!

So, what do you think? Pretty dramatic transformation, right? It always amazes me what just a few little changes can do for a space!
